Museums/Historical Attractions

Pay tribute at this memorial to Colorado's heroes who were prisoners of war, missing in action and/or died serving our country in Vietman. The memorial honors 620 men and one women whose names are inscribed on the black granite monuments.

The museum contains the William White RailRoad collection, the Pueblo Saddlermakers Collection and the Edward Broadhead Library with over 7,500 books.

More than 26 historical military aircraft are on display, featuring planes and jets from different eras, including B-29 bomber and RB-37. Admission By Donation.

This museum is located at the actual historic site of the trading post, El Pueblo, built in 1842 north of the Arkansas River. Nominal admission charged.

The historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo is a 26-acre waterfront park located in the heart of historic downtown Pueblo

Every September the city celebrates the harvest of the pueblo chili with authentic food, music, arts and fresh roasted chiles in an 1840's historical market.

This 17 day celebration starts August through Labor Day,it boasts abundance og Family fun, food and festivities. Visitors enjoy Americas top name performers and national PRCA rodeo action.

Parks/Recreational Facilities

The Pueblo Zoo exhibits more than 3,000 animals of different species through out the world. Covering more than 30 acres of the Pueblo City Park.

The park featues a 17 court tennis complex, swimming pool, two fishing lakes and three softball fields. Open most days in the evenings from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Lake Pueblo covers 9,600 acres and contains 400 campsites, miles of hiking and biking trails. 2 full service marinas, water sking, sailing and fishing as well as a swim beach with a two story water slide.
